Financial Expertise
Our Foundations
FoxPlan was founded by John and Sally Killick and operated out of Investment House on Featherston Street. In the early days, the focus was on superannuation and insurance — helping clients protect what matters most.
A One-Stop Financial Shop
We evolved into a full-service financial advisory, adding lending, investment, and retirement planning. The arrival of shareholders Steve Baker and Warwick Walker broadened our advisory capabilities.
The KiwiSaver Experts
When KiwiSaver launched, FoxPlan was ready from day one thanks to our deep superannuation expertise. This reinforced our reputation as a trusted guide through a time of major regulatory change.
Our Growth Mindset
Our growing team moved to Courtenay Place where we stayed for 15 years. Our advisers invested heavily in professional development through Waikato and Massey Universities, ensuring our advice stayed best-in-class.
Passing the Torch
New shareholders join the fold with Financial Advisers Stephan Jagers, Warwick Walker, and Steve Baker becoming shareholders in 2013 and Tim Ellis in 2022, Brodie Haggerty in 2024 and Prashant Modi in 2026 carrying FoxPlan into the future.
Expansion into Accounting
The appointment of Blake Chamberlain as shareholder marked FoxPlan’s expansion into accounting services. This enabled a more holistic offering, integrating wealth management and tax strategy under one roof.
The Terrace and Beyond
Today, FoxPlan operates from The Terrace, Wellington and supports more than 7,000 clients nationwide. A lot has changed since 1996, but the mission remains the same: providing a safe place to talk about money and helping clients live purposeful lives.
Three Decades of Guiding Financial Futures
To celebrate 30 years, we refreshed our brand and website. Our fox icon now plays a stronger role as a symbol of trusted guidance and our heritage palette has evolved into a vibrant yellow and deep charcoal brown, representing the energy and purpose behind our work.
